'Cause every breath that you take when you are sitting next to me bring life into my deepest hopes.
OMG I MUST BLOG ABOUT THE MIZUNO RUN TODAY.
it was supposed to be exciting.
SUPPOSEDLY.
MILLIONS of people were cramped up at that tp/bedok reservoir area.
(okay im exaggerating i know but the 10,000 people seem like a million to me really)
seriously ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE.
students like us, ordinary adults, fit and well-built athletics, old auntehs and uncles and even minatured ahbengs who scolded vulgarities in the midst of the marathon.
the 10km run started off with us hopping and skipping around to avoid all the puddles of mud cause it rained the night before (i thought it was a game of skipping the mudpits rather than a marathon) AND OTHER PEOPLE RUNNING PAST AND STEPPING INTO THOSE MUD PUDDLES AND THUS SPLASHING MUD ON ME! (okayyy everyone was attacked)
IT WAS SUPERDUPER ANNOYINGGG TO THE MAX.
there was much jostling too AND IDONTKNOW WHY THOSE PEOPLE MUST PUSH WHEN THEY WANT TO OVERTAKE ME.
urggh i must rant cos i really felt damn pissy.
the amount of people running and mud puddles turned me off like straight away.
despite all these, I MANAGED TO COMPLETE THE 10KM!
i really have to thank God for all the constant encouragements and jiayous from my odac friends now and then. ((:
(and of cos, thank You too)
the song 'i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' was running through my head while running the last 2.5km.
anyway, the situation after the run was not any better.
everyone was hot/sweaty/sticky/smelly and the entire place was super crowded and cramped up and and and everyone kept brushing against each other and it was super gross cause everything felt so wet.
the worst period was when we were getting our bags from the truck.
it was like some wet fish market and all of us were like auntehs snatching to get those really cheap fish or something.
or maybe worse than that.
person standing on the truck returning the bags: (passing down, let's say, a green bag) WHOSE BAG WHOSE BAG?
bag owner somewhere behind the huge crowd of people standing in front of the truck: (WAVED HAND AND TAG NO. FRANTICALLY AND SCREAMED DESPERATELY) HERE HERE HERE! MY ONE MY ONE THAT GREEN BAG! PASS HERE PASS HERE!
OMG.
we were that desperate.
anyhow, it was quite an experience though.
i forgot to take pictures of everything cause it wasnt quite convenient but i'll get those group photos from nyodac blog and post them up real soon.
odac then went for lunch (to gain back the fats we lost during the run HAHA) at tampines.
afterwhich elaine and i did abit of shopping.
AND I BOUGHT A LOVELYYY NEW PAIR OF PUMPS!
((:
thankyou elaine for choosing that for me. (:
alright, im off to celebrate my brother's birthday now.
OMG i dont know how im gonna to find the time to complete my maths tutorial, EOM, chinese compo, and ALL THE PHYSICS TUTORIALS.
